Consumer Finance - Senior Associate

A career in our Consumer Finance, within Financial Markets Business Advisory services, will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to a variety of audit, regulatory, valuation, and financial analyses services to design solutions that address our clients’ complex accounting and financial reporting challenges, as well as their broader business issues.


As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
  • Train and lead staff
  • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients 
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

CPA or has demonstrated required minimum number of hours for CPA licensure per respective state regulations

Preferred Qualifications: 

Preferred Knowledge/Skills: 
Thorough knowledge of public accounting and audit practices, procedures and reporting standards, especially as it applies to Asset and Liability Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, Risk Management, Securitizations, and Regulatory Requirements. Thorough knowledge of SEC, U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, and IFRS procedures and standards, and how these apply to the following industries: industry consumer/retail banking, commercial banking, wholesale banking, mortgage banking, securitization, capital markets, insurance, investment management, broker/dealer and real estate. Demonstrated thorough knowledge of US GAAP and how it applies to the financial services industry, including the following: 
- Proven thorough ability to apply applicable auditing standings in completing audit areas; 
- Proven thorough ability and/or direct experience with preparing a record of work that provides a clear understanding of audit procedures; and, 
- Proven thorough ability and/or direct experience that utilizes professional skepticism on projects that involve technical knowledge of US GAAP and basic knowledge of the Consumer Finance industry.

Demonstrated thorough ability and/or direct experience with conducting and providing feedback on first-level reviews of standard audit procedures performed by new associates. Demonstrated thorough ability to interact and utilize effectively written and verbal business communication skills when interacting with clients and firm staff and/or management in a professional services business environment. This includes the proven ability to write reports describing Consumer Finance industry-related issues.
