Wells Fargo's Chief Administrative Office (CAO) consists of enterprise functions that work together to promote and protect the Wells Fargo culture and brand, and support our team members. Groups within CAO work to protect our reputation, tell our story, bolster team member engagement, connect with our customers, and bring new and innovative solutions to life. Wells Fargo Home Lending Compensation Team is looking for a Compensation Analyst to execute the WFHL compensation analytics function and provide insightful and actionable modeling and reporting in support of business needs. This individual contributor will join the compensation team in support of WFHL Mortgage Production team members through consultation, compensation design, program management, and effective risk governance. This role will also partner within and across onsite and virtual teams to implement and monitor compensation programs and execute on critical compensation processes, such as annual Focal Review, market pricing, new job creation, and job evaluations. This role may also be responsible for analysis related to incentive compensation plan design and modeling. This individual will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as adjust and quickly respond to fluid data sets, terms, and conditions, with effective and meaningful analysis to support management decision-making. They will consult with internal partners within the Business and HR to understand needs and support the development reporting and processes. The ability to work within deadlines and successfully manage multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment is critical to success in this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform analytics and modeling throughout compensation planning processes
  • Provide meaningful and insightful reporting to Business and HR leaders in support of business needs
  • Perform routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis to support consultation on compensation matters
  • Lead or participate in other change management initiatives, projects, or comp processes as needed.

Desired locations: Charlotte, NC or Des Moines, IA; however, other Wells Fargo locations within the US Domestic footprint may be considered for this opportunity.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of analytics experience or similar experience demonstrated through work, military, or education
  • 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office products

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment
  • Financial services experience
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
  • Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
  • Good analytical skills including strategically analyzing data and diagnosing opportunities/interventions
