Job Summary

You'll use analytics to gain insights into the retail environments, guide decisions, and measure results. You will be a key member of the commercial team by tracking consumption and promotional effectiveness to ensure delivery of forecasted volume, and to assist with joint business planning with key Pet and Vet customers.

 

Principal duties and responsibilities

  • You'll support sales and marketing providing data and insights that help define, develop and execute 6P strategy (Price, Promotion, Product, Placement, Protocol, POP).
  • Provide sales and brand management with recommendations by incorporating information on consumption and shopper analytics which helps to develop successful selling stories for business planning with Vet Corporate Accounts and Pet Specialty customers.
  • Manage the allocation processes for all field sales materials
  • Update and share information as needed by the commercial teams to support the field and Key Account Managers
  • Provide analysis, forecasts, and tracking for Vet clinic rebate and Pet volume incentive programs.
  • Develops and distributes Deal Sheets, Car Stock and Return forms
  • Leads the development and approval process for Display PIRs, stock units set up, and P&Ls
Go-to-Market & Retail Activation
  • Measure, report and analyze rebate and incentive programs; collaborate with the Retail Activation Manager on sales and performance metrics
  • You'll track and measure promotional performance to gather and share findings that improve promotional efficiency and have a positive impact on results.
  • Determines requirements and allocate field tools (i.e. sales materials, shopper tools)
Commercial Planning
  • As the Business Planner for the Vet Channel, you will update the system with forecasted units/volume to identify gaps versus budget.
  • You'll be responsible for Sales A&P budgeting and tracking, reporting customer GTN budgets, and tracking trade spend vs. approved budgets.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Provides key customer consumption reporting with meaningful insights and comments.
  • Reports on product launch metrics, innovation scorecard, and distribution reporting
  • Supports commercial team with Ad hoc analysis as required
Basic qualifications:
  • University degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Computer literacy in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with the ability to learn proprietary programs.  Experience with Tableau is an asset.
