Commercial Banking Prospect Manager/Business Development

The Prospect Manager supplements the prospecting activities of Relationship Managers by identifying, analyzing, qualifying and managing Commercial Bank prospects with revenues in excess of $20 million.  Develops, implements, and manages a strategic front-end marketing and sales process.  Evaluates prospective business for long-term financial viability and consistency with corporate objectives and credit policies, and determines whether a prospective client is appropriate for referral to Relationship Managers.  Builds and nurtures a portfolio of approximately 1,000 - 2,000 Commercial Bank prospects via phone, direct mail and email.  Identifies commercial credit, depository and treasury management opportunities.  Maintains regular and consistent interaction with CEO and CFO level contacts at prospective companies.

  Qualifications   Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of sales management experience   Preferred Skills/Experience
- Strong marketing, relationship management, and business development/sales skills
- Thorough knowledge of financial business products
- Basic knowledge of commercial credit and underwriting practices
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient contact management software skills, including Siebel, etc.
