CALIFORNIA INNOVATION CTR SUMMER INTERN


Janssen, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting a California Innovation Center (CA IC) PMO Intern. Johnson & Johnson Innovation (JJI) seeks to positively impact human health through innovation. The internship is offered by the pharmaceutical sector, and the neuroscience therapeutic area (TA) and supports the neuroscience therapeutic area lead (TA Lead) at CA IC in South San Francisco. The Internship Program is focused on providing college students with practical industrial scientific and clinical experience. The CA IC Neuroscience Therapeutic Area Summer Intern will:
  • work collaboratively with CA IC Neuroscience TA Lead supporting various projects, which might include landscaping the potential partners with promising science/technology
  • participate in ongoing project team meetings, which may include attending deal meetings, partner meetings
  • be exposed to various other functions within the larger JJI organization


Qualifications
  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college/university
  • Candidates must be available up to 40 hours/week for the summer
  • Students who have completed three years of college coursework year will be considered.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
  • Demonstrated leadership is required.
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Candidates must have the ability to work individually (independently), as well as, on a team
  • Candidates need to be proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel (including a high proficiency with generating pivot tables and graphs), Power Point, and have strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Candidates with demonstrated interest, academic and/or industry experience in life sciences and/or health technology are strongly preferred.
  • A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
