Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our nine major business lines include Business Banking, Middle Market Banking, Government and Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Financial Institutions Group, Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, and the Investment Portfolio. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

Wholesale Int’l Ops (WIO) – International Business Solutions & Controls (IBSC)

This position will directly manage a small group of team members, and directly influence other team members that support the SWIFT Business Production Support.  Responsibilities include SWIFT project work, SWIFT Business Production Support, and SWIFT Strategic alignment. 

Collaboration, partnering and being a liason across varius disciplines is critical to this role.  Develop strong partnerships  with regional support groups, Operational teams, Product, Technology and other key partners. Engage in the strategic direction and support of platforms, enhancements and risk mitigation work.

Project work includes writing, reviewing, and approving project documents, resource planning, and gathering of business requirements across the operational teams.

SWIFT Production Support:  Manage team responsible for responding timely to production interruption events, investigating and reporting issue, and participating in EACO calls for all SWIFT or SWIFT related issues.  Ensure “warm” hand-offs between IBSC regional support teams.  Team supports production maintenance activities and should adhere to Wholesale risk escalation procedures.

Role will be directly involved with the strategice vision and alignment for the platform.  Awarenss of risk issues is critical. Strategic activities will change year to year based on the goals of the program. 

Design, implement, and maintain a “SWIFT Certification” training program, rolling out across impacted IBSC global teams. 

Faciliate SWIFT Operational Governance meetings, engaging  enterprise operational teams in the strategic goals. 

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of information technology experience
  • 5+ years of management experience in a technology environment

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Proven ability to learn/understand a complex technology platform, and its interconnections. 
  • Proven ability to think strategically and direct the team to be forward thinking in their support model. 
  • Experience in developing training programs. 
  • Knowledge of the SWIFT Platform and / or International Operational Payment processing. 
  • Experience supporting a 24 hour global support model.
