The Business Intelligence and Reporting Strategy team develops, drives, and maintains the business intelligence strategy for the Wells Fargo Marketing organization.  This team is responsible for setting the direction, developing the vision and business case, and establishing the overall approach for business intelligence in Marketing, including customer metrics, business and marketing dashboards and reports, and self-service tools for marketers to access and manipulate information. This is a key enabler of improved effectiveness and efficiency for Marketing and for the Insights & Analytics organization.  This team is accountable for the following:

  • Develop and maintain the BI strategy including metrics and dashboards approach for the entire Marketing organization
  • Define the core KPIs and metrics including how they interrelate and what data defines them
  • Articulate and build the business case for creating business intelligence capabilities
  • Drive the requirements, prioritization and overall roadmap development for business intelligence for Marketing, including the self-service capabilities for Marketers
  • Partner with Marketing Execution to design and productionalize BI dashboards for efficient delivery and consumption
  • Establish the prioritization and governance process and structure to manage the roadmap
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the roadmap, working across Marketing and with technology/enterprise data organizations
  • Manage the onshore components, process, and integration in conjunction with the Offshore Marketing Analytics & Research Services team in India 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business and technical stakeholders


  • Partner with the offshore team to establish processes and structure to optimize engagement and performance 
  • Work with the onshore teams to establish business routines for the market research, competitive intelligence and analytic offshore functions
  • Share best practices across the onshore team to improve performance across teams
  • Accountable for onshore success of the offshore model; establish KPIs, benchmarks and monitor performance

LOCATION(S):  Des Moines, IA, Minneapolis, MN, Charlotte, NC, St. Louis, MO, Portland, OR, Irving, TX, San Antonio, TX, Austin, TX or other locations may be considered.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

  • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Recent expertise using SQL and /or SAS to directly interrogate data in support of requirement definitions, conceptual designs, and data quality assurance
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to quickly recognize and resolve problems and get to the root cause
  • Experience in developing and/or using business intelligence technologies to visualize data (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Can lead effectively across multiple domestic time zones, with scheduling flexibility to productively engage with India based support resources
  • Strategic leadership creating and achieving a desired future state vision through influence on individual and group goals, reinforcements and technologies
