Payments, Virtual Solutions & Innovation (PVSI) – Card & Retail Services (CRS Controls & Operational Risk (COR) provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, this group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

The PVSI teams include Home Lending, Consumer Credit Card, Personal Loans and Lines, Direct Auto, Dealer Services, Commercial Auto, Retail Services and Education Financial Services, including the professional services teams that partner with these businesses – Controls Testing Team, Human Resources, Finance, Credit Risk, and Wells Fargo Compliance. 

Our Card & Retail Services (CRS), Control and Operational Risk (COR) team provides guidance to CRS businesses to support their commitment to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal operational policies and procedures (including, but not limited to the Regulatory Compliance Risk Management (RCRM) / Wells Fargo Compliance Standards, Review Activities Standards, Testing & Validation Standard, Commitment to Customer Policy, Issues Management Policy). This Operational Risk Consultant/Business Initiative/Analytics Consultant 4 – position will support the project management office (PMO) office for CRS Risk Programs and Shared Services

Specific responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

Part of Risk Programs and Shared Services Team, this role, will support the Risk Programs, shared services Project management office. This office would be responsible for:

  1. Process Management: Setting up simple, yet effective uniform processes which enables effective implementation of Risk programs across CRS, while being a Liaison with other CRS ORM
  2. Program Management: Ability to work across multiple work streams e.g. Issue Management, Third Party, Regulatory Programs and ensure consistency in program and related policy implementation
  3. Executive Presentations and Reporting: Ability to work through CXO level communication and dashboard creating; Should be able to create and tell a story
  4. Thematic Analysis- Perform thematic analysis, while consistently driving horizontal impact assessment and helping CRS delivery teams to be pro-active in Risk management
  5. Automation: Running scripts, creating workflows ,which expedites automation and ensure

Responsible for leadership of cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives that are significant in scope, complexity and risk. Examples might include, but are not limited to: finance /operational/executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, major change management initiatives, ongoing oversight of a leadership /diversity/recognition/Q12 or general program oversight. Provides leadership in the management of relationships and integration /implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary. Works with functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict and ensure alignment with WF strategy /policies and business line objectives. Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations. Manages a team to accomplish the work.

 

Preferred locations: Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; and San Francisco, CA.   **In addition to preferred location, other Wells Fargo hub sites will be considered.



Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning
  • 3+ years of leadership experience

  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Tableau experience
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with SharePoint Designer workflows



Other Desired Qualifications

** Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • 7-8 years of experience in Program Management/ Business Support activities supporting CXO level executives, with insights into compliance, operational risk office.
  • Ability to run independently as an individual contributor with strong data analytics skills- R& Python, SAS/SQL Programming,  PowerPoint presentations, tableau and SharePoint designer.
  • Demonstrated experience of running a Project Management office (PMO), with an ability to work individually as a single/individual contributor
  • Knowledge of Project Management with Experience in doing/ leading Business Support, COO activities
  • Experience in Executive/CXO level communication- Power-point/written/verbal
  • Ability to understand Risk related complex activities and deliver simple fact based outcomes by creating meaningful dashboards for Key Risk and Control indicators
  • Ability to identify gaps through meaningful data analysis
  • Experience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls
  • Certifications in SAS, SQL, Statistical models, thematic analysis, predictive Risk Models will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in writing scripts, writing VBA scripts
