The Enterprise Core Services Technology team is looking for a highly experienced technology area manager to drive our business automation programs to meet the firms Efficiency & Effectiveness commitments. We’re looking for a knowledgeable manager to lead a team of  FTE’s and contract team members and several applications to deliver new automation use cases across multiple technologies.

This senior technology manager role will be responsible for enablement of LOBs for adoption of automation technologies such as Robotic process automation and Artificial Intelligence across the firm and will report to the CIO of CEBAT (Customer Enablement and Business Automation Technology) within the Enterprise Core Services Technology team at Wells Fargo.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to: directing and controlling all automation adoption activities of a small to medium line of business, a large functional area in a large line of business, or a large enterprise-level function, managing through several department managers. Maintains overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing, and maintaining costs, methods and employees. Provides guidance to applications analysis/programming management in the definition of information system objectives. Responsible for the development of design and quality control standards and ensures compliance. Ensures alignment of business strategy with IT strategy and assesses impact of emerging technology to strategic business needs. Responsible for risk and compliance of managed applications, with decisions impacting external customers.

As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.


Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of technology infrastructure experience
  • 7+ years of management experience in technology
  • 5 + years of experience creating and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps at the executive level for enterprise wide business initiatives
  • 5 + years of senior leadership experience collaborating at the executive level
  • 5+ years of design, implementation and governance experience with Robotic Process Automation or Business Process Automation architectures
  • 5+ years of design, implementation and governance experience with Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing or Machine Learning architecture

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple or large technology infrastructure components
  • A Master's degree or higher
  • Ability to manage a budget in excess of $20 million
