Integrated Data Analytics and Reporting (IDAR), is comprised of: Data Management, Programming, Risk Management-Central Monitoring and Medical Writing. The AD, BO, IDAR will be accountable for managing and coordinating centralized business operations activities in support of the IDAR functions and Therapeutic Area Leads. This position will report to the Head, IDAR Business Operations. In this role you will partner closely with the different GCDO functions, Quantitative Science and partner functions.

Principal Responsibilities:

The Associate Director will be directly responsible and accountable for one or more of the clusters below and will be a functional backup/deputy for other areas.

  • Financial Management: Working closely with Finance, assist with the development of the annual IDAR budget, update latest outlooks and track spending against forecast. Identify, analyze and observe trends or patterns of financial data across IDAR functions. Responsible for the Budget Review Meetings – agendas, minutes, action items, and deliverables.
  • Resource Management: PPOC for Capacity Management and Functional planning organization in support of IDAR functions. Coordinator for 1-Supply. In alignment with the Function Heads coordinates implementation of updated algorithm updates and manages overall headcount targets. Identify, analyze and observe trends or patterns of resource data across IDAR functions. Responsible for the training and onboarding programs for IDAR.
  • Business Performance Management: Support / lead the development of operational metrics, reports, and dashboards aligned with functional needs to monitor the operational performance of the business. Monitor progress against IDAR Goals & Objectives. Support short and long-term IDAR organizational planning and strategy.
  • Continuous Improvements Management: Working with IDAR TALs and Functions, coordinate the identification, prioritization, tracking and reporting out of end-to-end improvement initiatives. May drive cross-functional end-to-end improvement initiatives within IDAR and partnering with other functions.
  • Communications/Knowledge Management: Coordinates communication plan for IDAR to ensure active and ongoing communications both internal and external communications. Ensures a comprehensive IDAR suite of portals and SharePoint sites. Manage and update content on IDAR portals. Coordinate, consolidate, and monitor CREDO review action plans with functional SMEs. Tracking & reporting of IDAR external engagements.
  • Portfolio Management: Coordinate and supports the portfolio review framework to ensure cross-TA consistency. Coordinates portfolio reviews with IDAR TALs and supports the preparation of the portfolio review packages. Consolidates and highlights capability needs and coordinate aligned prioritization.
  • Compliance Management: In alignment with the Function Heads and eBIS, ensure compliant operations in IDAR through monitoring and reporting out on CAPAs and inspection readiness gaps, coordination of updates to procedural documents and distributing relevant regulatory updates.
  • Vendor Management: Support cross-functional coordination and community of practice with functional SMEs. Consolidate cross-functional sourcing decisions and support integration of IDAR sourcing strategy into GCDO.
  • May be IDAR Primary point of contact (related to non-function specific requests) for one or more partner functions such as Procurement, Finance, HR, SBI, Capacity Management, BRQC and RDO Operational Planning & Strategy


Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or University/college degree) in a scientific discipline or general management is required; an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, MD, PhD) is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of diverse professional experience encompassing program/project management, business operations, vendor management in the pharmaceutical industry is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical operations either in a direct or supporting function is preferred
  • A good understanding of drug development, clinical data management, clinical data programming, clinical risk management, central monitoring and medical writing practices is required.
  • Experience in managing internal stakeholders is required
  • Strong program/project management skills are required. A PMP certification is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with data reporting packages (i.e., Tableau) is preferred.
  • Experience in working in cross-functional teams and supporting or leading large projects is requirement
  • Sound financial acumen is required
  • Up to 10% international travel may be required
