Associate Coordinator, Pipeline Programs - Talent Acquisition

Description The Pipeline Programs team within Talent Acquisition at National Grid is responsible for the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and program management for three key programs: Intern Program, Graduate Development Program, and Leadership Development Program. These programs seek to attract and develop high quality talent to meet the short term and long term business needs of an ever changing energy industry. We are looking for an Associate Coordinator to support the Resourcing Specialist for the Intern Program which sees approximately 200 Summer Interns and 30 Year Round Interns/Co-Op Students annually. The ideal candidate will be energetic, a self-starter, proactive, and have experience with managing multiple projects at once. While many aspects of the Associate Coordinator role are administrative, including processing new hire paperwork, managing background checks, and coordinating facility logistics/equipment/training aids, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to engage with leaders from across the business and represent National Grid at various recruiting events. Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Assist Resourcing Specialist with the execution of full-life cycle recruiting for Intern Program including: posting of requisitions, application screening, interviews, offers, processing of new hire paperwork, processing of background checks Assist with the planning and facilitation of Intern Orientation sessions and monthly Summer Intern development sessions Collaborate with Resourcing Specialist and internal stakeholders (Hiring Managers, HRBPs, Executives) to determine business needs and develop creative strategies to achieve goals Represent National Grid at campus and diversity recruiting events to share information about the company brand and Pipeline Program opportunities Manage ongoing relationship building with students to help achieve pipeline recruiting vision and provide a superior candidate experience Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or other related field required 1-2 years of experience (includes internships) within Talent Acquisition or Human Resources preferred Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively to both internal and external clients Excellent project management and organizational skills Ability to build strong relationships and networks Comfortable in a fast paced environment, with strong attention to detail and follow up and exceptional time management Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment and undertake tasks with limited supervision Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to evaluate, produce routine reports and make recommendations based on analysis This role requires driving and as such a valid driver’s license with safe driving history is required This position is one of National Grid’s career path roles which provide for promotional opportunities within and across salary bands as you develop and evolve in the position by gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
