ASSOC. SOFTWARE ENGINEER:
MasterCard is seeking talented individuals to join our Silicon Alley Emerging Payments Technology team in New York City. Located in the Flatiron District of Manhattan, MasterCard is researching and developing the next generation of products and services to enable consumers to securely, efficiently, and intelligently conduct transactions regardless of channel. Responsibilities:
The Assoc. Software Engineer is a hands-on developer specializing in either application logic or User Interface implementation for both web and mobile web applications. As an Engineer in the Emerging Payments Technology team, you will be responsible for implementing either application logic requirements or user interface elements across multiple products, services, and devices. Working withing an Agile development methodology, you will collaborate with other engineers and work closely with the team technical lead to deliver and exceptional user experience for our customers. In addition, you'll have the opportunity to work with new frameworks and technologies, assist with prototyping and proof-of-concepts, participate in code reviews, and help ensure a high level of code quality from the team.

Skills/Requirements:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative, and organization skills.
- Experience translating functional product requirements into code within traditional web applications.
- For JAVA Engineers: Java, J2EE, JSON/XML, PCF, AWS and Web Services (REST and SOAP) required, with exposure to Spring Framework (SpringMVC, SpringSecurity, Awareness, etc.) , JPA, JSF, JUNIT, log4j, JBoss, SQL and NoSQL strongly desired.

In addition to the above skills, the following experience is highly desireable:
- Agile/SCRUM methodologies
- E-commerce experience
- Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration
- Test Driven Development (TDD)
- DevOps Experience

Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technology-specific discipline.
