Client (internal as well as external) support for system problem/resolution is also part of this role.   Responsibilities include: - Provide production support for multiple applications in the Internet & Electronic Payments team - Coordinate system changes - Ensure production readiness of application releases, working closely with software development, Quality Control, and Product Management - Identify and implement technical and process improvements to enhance system availability, performance and security - Develop and maintain technical system support documentation - Interface with clients to answer questions, research issues and provide technical assistance - Gathers and generates system metric reports - On call rotation required - Occasional off hour and weekend work   Successful applicants will exemplify US Bank's ethical principles of uncompromising integrity, respect for others, accountability for decisions and actions, and good citizenship.   Qualifications  

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five or more years of experience in application development

Preferred Skills/Experience

- Strong understanding of Unix/Linux, at least two years hands-on experience, fluent with command line - At least two years hands-on experience with Oracle/SQL - Understanding of batch processing concepts and management - Exposure to multiple operating systems, scripting, web and application servers - Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical personnel, gathering information and communicating direction - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to facilitate ad hoc meetings focused on problem solving - Strong technical and analytical skills - Strong troubleshooting skills - Ability to work under pressure - Possess strong team work skills - Advocates strong processes with goals for continuous process improvement - Ability to work independently and with a team.   Basic understanding in: - Hardware infrastructure - System software infrastructure - Computer operations - Release management   Working experience in: - Software deployment/support - IT systems management - IT service management (ITSM)
