Application Sales Executive 3 IoT

Overall Purpose:

This is a regional position
which is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert on Utility related
technical solutions to assist in the account management and revenue generation
and sales of highly complex/technical products, services, applications, and/or
solutions. The successful candidate for
this position will have a wide range of Utility industry contacts along with a
strong background in Utility Application sales

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Closely work with AT&T Segment direct sales teams and customers to provide Subject Matter Expert guidance regarding the design, customization, implementation and account management of technical products/services/applications/solutions related to Utility Grid Modernization.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Ecosystem partners who support IoT devices related to Utility solutions and advises customers on suitability of products based on technical needs.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the communications systems that support Field Area Network Utility solutions and advises customers on suitability of products based on technical needs.
  • Be knowledgeable on Radio Access Networks
  • Drive solutions with both IT professionals and customer’s Line of Business owners.
  • Prepares proposals, presentations, or bids, including developing pricing, for highly complex solutions which clearly articulates the AT&T Value Proposition.
  • Develops strategic plans for your region related to Utilities to insure you meet revenue targets.
  • Researches and develops customer solutions with AT&T external partners, including design and engineering.
  • Successfully manage and coordinate the sales and/or technical team in support of the sale of highly complex products and services to a customer.
  • Spends some time at the customer premise developing and presenting sales proposals and systems solutions.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of company products and services.
  • Assists less experienced peers.
Education: Prefer a Bachelors degree.

Typically requires five to ten years of direct work experience in the Utility Industry.
