Application Sales Consultant 2 NBS

AT&T is looking for one Application Sales Consultant 2 for its National Business Sales team here in Illinois.This is a critical technical role supporting Client Solution Executive team members who have responsibility for ~300 assigned accounts each.Although the ASC2 does not own the customer accounts, this role does work closely with both the CSE and customers to solution out mobility applications, AVPN, security solutions, BVoIP, SDN, Alien Vault, and a variety of other products.The selected candidate will work with small ($20K) to large ($3M) enterprises and government agencies to sell our full-scale business solutions.

Position Summary:

  • Provides technical support during joint sales meetings with customers and direct sales teams
  • Contributes to unit sales plan through pre-sales/post sales technical consulting activities
  • Provides technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and installation and maintenance of company products
  • Manages the technical discussions in client meetings
  • Understands, develops and delivers products/services/systems/solutions to customer's business, information, technical and educational needs
  • Travels to and from the customer's premise, providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues relating to the sale
  • Advises customers on suitability of products based on technical needs, preparing proposals, presentations, or bids, including developing pricing, developing strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solution/sale
  • Researches and develops customer solutions with AT&T external partners, including design and engineering, and researches customer business and industry to identify new sales opportunities
  • This role may have an office location in either the suburbs (Lisle, Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, or Downers Grove areas) or in Chicago based upon the selected candidate’s preference
  • This role has a pay mix of 62/38% (Base salary/Commissions)

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
  • Current auto insurance
  • Reliable vehicle per transportation needs of market

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years successful direct work experience selling technical complex telecom products
  • Ability to demonstrate technical understanding of products like mobility applications, AVPN, security solutions, BVoIP, SDN, Alien Vault, etc.
  • BA/BS in Business, Technology, or relevant field
