The Wholesale Data Office team delivers trusted, reliable data which drives strategic decisions, enables business growth, and facilitates a strong risk discipline.  We enable usage of common data that is complete, trusted, understood, and aligned with our financial reporting.
This position will be supporting our iHub service with the Business Data services team. Ihub is an authorized provision point which standardizes common foundational data and distributes to downstream applications and reporting services.

The position will support the eOne workstream. The eONE initiative seeks to build a 'one number' instrument data foundation that is complete, reliable, and aligned to the general ledger. The initiative will also establish the authoritative data source for common data elements between Corporate Finance and Corporate Risk management to support in scope risk and regulatory reporting. eONE will create a federated, coordinated set of applications and databases to support risk and finance, which will allow for agile and accurate risk and regulatory reporting and analytics that complies with BCBS 239, G&O and the Wells Fargo Enterprise Data Governance Policies and Standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage a team of analytic consultants to deliver against tight timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Meet all iHub delivery commitments to the eOne program
  • OFSAA upgrade impact assessments, readiness, and implementation process management
  • OFSAA data model extension governance and management of application development processes
  • Business liaison to the technology / infrastructure teams for eONE environment requirements coordination and issue tracking
  • Coordinate with the Oracle vendors and consultants to track SR remediation, functionality rollout and escalation of key issues
  • Coordination with the eOne team to manage SLA agreements for incoming and outgoing data feeds
  • Review requirements and perform gap analysis against the OFSAA’s FSDF framework and data model
  • Propose data model changes in collaboration with the Oracle Consulting team
  • Support implementation of data model changes
  • Be responsible for managing partnerships with downstream consumers, technology partners and project leaders
  • Participate in, develop requirements, and document key functions
  • Facilitate meetings in a way that gains consensus across stakeholders
  • Create metadata dictionary upload documents for enterprise consumption
  • Ensure program requirements are met including informing key stakeholders and leadership of impacts and changes to the project
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvement, documenting them and executing them
  • Perform internal process consultant role on business process definition and/or improvement opportunities

LOCATION(S): Charlotte, NC and San Francisco CA are preferred locations, however other Wells Fargo locations could be considered.

  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks


Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
  • 4+ years of management experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
  • Ability to play leadership role in large and complex analytical projects



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Leadership and strong data management experience with ability to effectively manage teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of wholesale banking: products, platforms, policies, processes, and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship
  • Ability to summarize complex data issues into executive level communications
  • Preferably experience with Oracle Financial Services Data Foundation(FSDF) implementation
