DATA MANAGEMENT & INSIGHTS (DMI) is transforming the way that Wells Fargo uses and manages data. The team is responsible for designing the future data environment, defining data governance oversight and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure for the company. This team also provides next generation analytic insights to drive business strategies and help meet our commitment to satisfy our customers’ financial needs.

This Analytic Consultant for Wholesale Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data is being created as part of the strengthening of the Wholesale Data Office and its ability to strategically support the business objectives and initiative based investments for the continuous improvement and enhancement of the Customer Data Domain (CRM) for Wholesale Banking and in particular the common Wholesale CRM strategy and objective as part of Whole Relationship Management Foundations (WRMF) initiative.

The Analytic Consultant will be working under the direction and guidance of the WRMF/Wholesale CRM Data Leader and will perform the detailed capture, analysis and documentation of business data elements & taxonomy, business rules and other supporting data for the CRM data management. With input from Wholesale LOB representatives and WRMF process team, perform the necessary alignment and standardization of definitions for key terms and align with WRMF target state system definitions.

Support the data governance and data profiling work in concert with EIT and other resources. Perform data quality gaps analysis and capture data quality rules in support of target state. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work closely with cross functional teams inclusive of WRMF Process & Tools teams, Wholesale LOB representatives, PPMG, EIT and other disciplines to align business and data strategies for CRM data.
  • Establish and document data taxonomies and other data management artifacts like business glossary, lineage, data quality metrics for effectiveness of data related activities.
  • Work with business to establish data standards in customer data / CRM domain and instrument the ecosystem with data quality measurements and drive continual improvement in data quality.
  • Analyze CRM, Non-CRM and External vendor data.
  • Identify and bring visibility to cross-LOB opportunities regarding CRM data. Enable common definitions and standardization.
  • Data Profiling and Data Analysis.
  • Perform Data quality analysis and profiling and enable the capture of data quality rules.
  • Support the documentation of required data governance artifacs.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of financial services experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience
  • 3 + years of experience gathering business requirements from various sources including end-users and stakeholders
  • 2+ years of experience with data analysis and documentation
  • 3+ years of data management experience including data modeling, data integrity and data quality
  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling



Desired Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in business data information architecture (metadata), data governance, data analytics, data modeling, or a combination thereof accuracy
  • SQL experience with data profiling and data analysis
  • Experience with Data Quality tools like Informatica DQ
  • 3+ years experience with capture / documentation of data requirements and other data artifacts and usage of Data Governance tools like Collibra
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management tools like SalesForce, MS Dynamics a plus
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Experience working hands on with multiple teams in a matrix organization, including ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the company
  • Good working knowledge of technology practices, including lifecycle management and technology risk mitigation techniques
