Help us build a better Wells Fargo. It all begins with outstanding talent. It all begins with you.

Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. We focus on three key risk areas: credit risk, operational risk and market risk. We help our management and Board of Directors identify and monitor risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and take appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Community Banking Risk Management (CBRM) is responsible for independently overseeing the regulatory and operational risk activities within Community Banking. This Consultant position will participate in the data design, DataMart development and implementation of a data environment that will provide a platform for strong analytics and reporting to consolidate information across interactions, customers, accounts, transactions, team members, products, and monitoring systems. This foundation will in turn provide key metrics and reporting to enhance accountability, quantify and mitigate risk, demonstrate program efficacy, and improve efficiency throughout Community Banking’s branch leadership hierarchy, as well as other risk and compliance functions (FLOD, SLOD, Enterprise, etc.).

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the daily operations of data requirement gathering, data sourcing, and DataMart development and implementation that will support new and existing strategy development and execution as well as risk metric reporting for all levels of the Community Bank.

  • Develop and maintain new and existing processes required by internal audit and or any regulatory bodies.

  • Partner with our internal and external partners to identify potential data sources.

  • Collaborate with internal and external business partners to develop robust actionable risk metrics, key performance indicators, and the supporting data requirements to produce them.

  • Partner closely with leaders across Community Banking to identify and optimize the ongoing risk reporting necessary to support first line accountability for sales practices and other key risk issues.

  • Work with our EIT and business partners to research and identify potential data quality issues.

  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.

  • Participate in the development of business cases, associated business requirements and implementation plans for data, analytic, and reporting investments.

  • Develop and maintain QA processes that will be used for regression testing and identifying data quality issues.

The consultant will work in the Community Bank Risk Oversight and Supervision Analytics team

Successful candidates will have a good understanding of relational data mart and data warehouses.  They will have strong SQL skills.   They will leverage these skills and understandings to help facilitate the design, development and build out of our new risk data environment.  They will partner closely with our EIT technology partners to accomplish this buildout.  Included in this will be the gathering of data sourcing requirements, working collaboratively with our business partners and metadata management.
