What part will you play?
The Research Analyst for truTV reports to the Sr. Director of Programming Research and is responsible for a variety of ongoing reports and ad hoc requests.
 
You will serve as an integral member of a small team, collaborating with colleagues across departments including: Programming, Scheduling, Development, Strategic Planning, Digital, and Finance.
 
What will you be doing?
  • Turning data into knowledge and communicating the stories you discover.
  • Pulling and analyzing viewing data from multiple sources to create actionable insights.
  • Providing research support with ad-hoc analyses for network management.
  • Delivering insightful learning to shape scheduling strategy and target audiences.
  • Inputting and maintaining program & VOD line-ups to Nielsen.
  • Taking projects from inception to completion while managing multiple deadlines.

     
What do we need from you?
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field or 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • A passion for the television business, across all platforms.
  • Excel skills so good, you brag about them.
  • Familiarity with media math and media research.
  • Analytical skills along with the ability to learn quickly, prioritize, and meet deadlines while paying close attention to detail.
  • The ability to interpret data into usable formats using data visualization tools.
  • An aptitude for working with numbers and an interest in estimating and forecasting.
  • Experience with digital/social analytics software systems is a plus (Adobe Analytics, comScore, Rentrak, etc.).
  • As is experience with some of the following research software systems (Star Trak, myEVNTS, National TV Toolbox, etc.).
  • A forward-thinking focus on the evolution of entertainment consumption.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • An inquisitive mind, a desire to innovate, and a sense of humor are encouraged. truTV is after all, a comedy network.
