The Global Innovation AI Operations Supervising Associate is responsible for overseeing various operations and community building related processes for the Global AI Team. The AI Operations Supervising Associate will assist in a wide range of startup-like management and support functions such as finance and budget monitoring related activities, developing and executing strategies to grow and strengthen the AI community at EY, and working with the AI Lab Operations Managers to roll out several key operational improvements to the team. Collaborates with other firm functions to provide support to the AI initiatives and larger Global Innovation team. This person is ideally a senior level employee within one of EY’s four service lines, with strong performance ratings and an ability to problem solve complex problems with creative solutions.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Facilitate reporting and analysis on AI prototypes portfolio, including investments, budgets, progress against milestones, and related revenues or savings once innovations are deployed. Other areas may require reporting and analysis as deemed necessary. Report on status and analysis of probability of achieving goals.

  • Provide operational support to the AI team, including liaising with a variety of EY functional support teams including Finance, Talent, Independence, General Counsel, Risk Management, etc.

  • Liaise with stakeholders throughout EY to ensure appropriate understanding, communication, and documentation of requirements and deliverables.

  • In collaboration with the AI Lab Operations Manager, develops processes to assist the AI team in implementing an incubation to production model; periodically review processes for opportunities for enhancements/efficiencies

  • Understand firm processes that impact the team’s operations and assist in implementing them.

  • Assist team with various firm processes such as Business Relationship Evaluation Team (BRET) forms for contractors, procurement (e.g., software), budgeting, etc.

  • Monitor the AI team activities relative to the firm’s independence and other regulatory processes and make recommendations accordingly

  • Suggest changes to functional operations to enhance effectiveness and efficiency

  • Maintain and grow a global community of AI enthusiasts at the firm through various community engagement channels such as CogniStreamer, the AI Champions Network, and Newsletter

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

  • This position must be able to provide meaningful analysis, draw conclusions from the results and make the appropriate recommendations to AI team leadership and, as appropriate, internal clients.

  • Ability to quickly grasp complex business problems, develop a logical/rational framework for investigating the problem, identify key assumptions and propose and test hypotheses, and develop creative solutions to such problems that leverage quantitative/analytical methods.

  • Ability to develop efficient and effective operational processes for the AI team

  • Ability to think critically around community building and strengthening strategies and have the ability to execute on those strategies

  • Ability to establish relationships and collaborate to gather information from appropriate sources and perform analysis of different alternatives/scenarios in order to contribute to key decision-making

  • Ability to get commitments and holding people accountable against those commitments at various levels within the firm

  • Ability to develop clear, concise, and creative content and materials to be distributed throughout the firm and within the AI community channels.

Supervision Responsibilities:

Directly supports the Global Innovation AI Lab Operations Manager who provides guidance, supervision and review of analyst’s activities. AI Operations Supervising Associate should be able to work relatively independently after receiving initial guidance and direction and apply critical thinking in analysis and provide opinions and recommendations.

Other Requirements:

Some overtime may be required to meet deadlines. Given interactions with Global resources, may need to work/conduct calls/meetings at non-standard hours. Some travel required.

Job Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree


  • Approximately 2+ years of experience

  • Demonstrated experience in reporting and analysis

  • Project and product management experience preferred
