The Business Operations function is a team of shared resources that support the entire AT&T Advertising & Analytics business.  While the organization falls within the larger AT&T company, they act in a start-up mode in order to drive significant growth in the business.  The organization ensures cross-functional involvement and Stakeholdering of key initiatives and programs. While developing a team of cross-functional resources, this ensures not only best outcome on key programs, but by doing so in the most cost-effective manner.  The Advertising and Analytics Business Operations team will prioritize four pillars of work – Risk Mitigation, Resource Prioritization, Organization Alignment and Workforce Productivity.  This specific function is an individual contributor supporting the Organizational Alignment function.

Specific Job Position Summary

The Principal Project Program Manager – Advertising & Media in the Advertising & Analytics Business Operations organization will be responsible for leading large scale complex initiatives including the execution & management of mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other initiatives.  The role holder will be responsible for assessing, documenting, and deploying scope of assigned initiative.  The position role holder is expected to build project plans, manage prioritization of initiatives, program communications, facilitate requirements, and lead cross-functional project teams.  Given the role will be heavily integration focused, the role holder should have background supporting Mergers and Acquisitions and large scale integration initiatives.  The candidate should have experience with Media & Advertising. 

Overall Purpose

Performs non-technical project management work focused on internal AT&T projects/ programs. Typically manages these projects/programs from initiation through delivery. The incumbents are responsible for meeting the project requirements by applying project management skills, tools, and techniques to manage the project scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risk.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Conducts end to end program management of one or more programs containing multiple large projects, or portfolio management of a large scope entire portfolio that are company-wide, cross functional and/or strategic in nature. May also manage one or more portfolios which includes identifying, prioritizing, authorizing, managing, and controlling projects, programs and other related work to achieve strategic business objectives. Directs cross functional teams to complete projects and program deliverables within allotted timeline and budget. Defines project/program scope and objectives, directs activities of project teams, and identifies resources. Projects/programs are very complex in nature, with project activities that are distinct for each new project, are company-wide, and require a high level of analysis to create project plans for new concept programs. Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to champion project/program(s) across the entire organization. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts program meetings and is responsible for program tracking and analysis. Ensure adherences to quality standards and reviews project/program deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Communicates to client/vendors/leadership.



Additional Information:

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years in Program Management experience
  • MBA or MIS strongly desired
  • Strong familiarity with agile methods (e.g. Scrum Master
  • Enhanced analytical, quantitative, technical, and business abilities
  • Strong proficiencies in all Microsoft Office products: Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Visio
  • Ability to work in a start-up environment, fast pace, and quick response times for delivery
  • Strong executive and program management communication skills

Accreditation, Certification, or Licenses

  • PMP strongly desired
