Advertising & Analytics - Lead of Business Development and Partnerships (AdCo)

Overall Purpose: Responsible for leading, vetting, and on-boarding new partners, vendors, and potentially performing due diligence on investments and acquisitions for AT&T advertising and analytics.Identify market/product needs from AT&T Advertising and Analytics stakeholders; identify partners/vendors that can contribute to and accelerate AT&T’s advertising growth and capabilities.

Experienced and comfortable with all levels of management - including C-Suite, product, technical, and data representatives. Confident, compelling, and a concise communicator with a proactive approach at soliciting and managing stakeholder input. Skilled at negotiation, term sheets, and selling the unique value of partnering with AT&T Advertising and Analytics.

Required experience/expertise

  1. Business Development preferred. Sales, Marketing, and Product experience to be considered.

  2. Negotiating term sheets including business terms and pricing, go to market partnerships execution and integrations, vendor deals, investments, joint ventures.

  3. Exceptional written and verbal communications.

  4. Commanding executive presence.

  5. Advanced TV, Addressable TV, Digital advertising, Ad Tech, and, general understanding of research/data science

  6. Contracting review management

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Conducts complex market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies internal AT&T customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives and potential and/or executed transactions. Develops and maintains relationships between AT&T and partners.

Coordinates acquisition support functions for national and international transactions. Analyzes market conditions, regulatory environment, competitive conditions, strategic and business plans, and existing business and technical operations. Collaborate and support legal, accounting, and business inspection of acquisition or joint venture.

Comfortable with reviewing and driving the creation of financial models to assess the economic value of potential transactions. Formulates demand forecasts and key operating projections for the valuation of target transactions.

Participates in the negotiations of principal terms and conditions of new and existing business transactions.Areas of focus will include cost of goods sold, market research, software and data license subscriptions, advertising technology, etc.Role will be required to assist in all back-end contract tracking, management, and summarizing key terms for leadership.Provides insight and input into programmer agreement negotiations impacting advertising rights.

Creates presentation materials for internal approval from Officers or Executives of AT&T and affiliates.

Job Contribution: Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of market trends and financial situation or data requires multi-variant evaluation, including an understanding of current business trends, and future marketplace considerations. Consistently supports executive and senior leadership roadmaps and public communication as a key representative of AT&T Advertising & Analytics

Education: Preference for candidates with advanced degree (MBA or JD) and minimum ofbachelors degree required.
