The Payments, Virtual Solutions, and Innovation (PVSI) team includes Operations, Cards and Retail Services, Deposit Products Group, the Innovation Group, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Payment Solutions, and Wells Fargo Virtual Channels and the professional services teams that partner with these businesses. PVSI's focus is on delivering the next generation of payments and deposit capabilities and advancing our digital and online offerings to design new customer experiences and products. Its guiding principles are to start with the customer, move faster, and partner effectively.


Consumer Lending and PVSI Internship Program Overview

The Wells Fargo Consumer Lending and PVSI Internship Program (CLIP) provides structured summer internship opportunities for highly talented students. The program offers a wide range of paid opportunities within the Consumer Lending and PVSI business groups, giving students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with seasoned managers and team members who are experts in their fields.


The CLIP Program includes formal and informal learning opportunities, engaging and challenging work assignments, and opportunities to interact with key leaders and managers. Interns will report into an individual Consumer Lending or PVSI business group and will have the opportunity to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of a full-time team member while gaining exposure to our business strategies, operations, and culture.


Over the course of ten weeks, participants will also complete a group project and benefit from coaching and performance feedback sessions. In addition, CLIP Interns will participate in the company-wide Wells Fargo Enterprise Internship virtual speaker series.


An undergraduate degree (BA/BS) or higher in any of the following: business analytics, marketing, finance, economics, accounting, computer science, business administration, management, project management, risk management, statistics, engineering, mathematics or equivalent degrees; with a graduation date of December 2019 through June 2021 is required for this position.


Ability to work a full-time schedule for the entirety of the 10-week program beginning on June 03, 2019.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ months of professional experience through internships, part-time, or full-time work

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Other Desired Qualifications

• At least 12 months of work or prior internship experience

• Impactful involvement through work, academic leadership, volunteerism or activism within the Community
