Our Capital Markets team manages the interest rate and operational risks associated with the origination, sale and servicing of mortgage loans, and provides liquidity for the mortgage assets originated by Wells Fargo.

The Wells Fargo Capital Markets Document Management team is seeking a highly qualified and dynamic Work Director 2 in Eagan, MN. This Work Director 2 will play a critical role on the Single Document Imaging Team by taking accountability for the Foreclosure Team and their processes from receipt of work to resolution and closure. The Work Director will ensure that workflow processes and procedures are efficient and effective to ensure the team’s work is completed on time and accurately by planning, coordinating, balancing, and monitoring the daily activities of the team members and making adjustments as needed.

You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on the Single Document Imaging process and the first line of defense for any escalated issues or questions from the team, business partners, or management. Communication skills are critical in this role. You must be able to identify and mitigate risk. Internal auditing, team member coaching, and continuous process improvement will also be expected of this Work Director.

Our ideal candidate will have core disciplines including team member engagement, high expectations, and attention to detail. We desire applicants with previous successful experience in the areas of training, leadership, SME, project management, process improvement, and/or similarly related skills.

Duties may include but are not limited to:
•Monitoring work in progress and making adjustments as needed
•Performing in-depth research on loans
•Providing feedback and training to staff
•Providing input to supervisors on staff performance
•Representing the unit at meetings
•Project work
•Handling escalated issues
•Identify opportunities for process improvement
•Act as a mentor and first point of escalation for team members
•Creating, editing, and maintaining job aids, department process documentation, etc.


This is a second shift position. Hours are 3:30PM-12:00AM, Monday through Friday. They are not flexible.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of operations experience

•Knowledge and understanding of imaging solutions or document management processes
•Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
•Previous successful experience in a Work Director, Team Lead, or subject matter expert (SME) role
•Previous experience transitioning paper based financial documents to electronic formats, including imaging paper files, indexing documents to image repositories, lifting data from documents and shipping functions



Job Expectations

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
