Vice President, Product Strategy

• The establishment of ACH business will establish Mastercard as the frontrunner in the fast-evolving automated clearing house (ACH) space
• The primary goal of this new business is to embed ACH into Mastercard’s DNA and expanding digital ACH payment opportunities and money transmission services by integrating with existing products and solutions
• The new role will be responsible to define business and product strategies and support the products to achieve global scale

• Define ACH strategy and market entry approach
• Guide a team that is charged with defining and enhancing the value (both financial and non-financial) created and captured by ACH product suites
• Work with ACH Product executives to define operating priorities across all products, performance objectives, and appropriate tracking metrics
• Responsible for working with Product Suite owners to define a clear business model, pricing, and ensuring execution against each product’s strategic plans and priorities
• Work across global and regional stakeholders to define and implement a product hierarchy with appropriate incentives and pricing
• Define the integration strategy of ACH products with other GP&S business units. Specifically, this will include the commercialization of new product incubations, packaging solutions with other GP&S business units, and embedding select capabilities into Core Products
• Play a role in the establishment of product management excellence within ACH group by embedding the use of the business model canvas.
• Participate in M&A initiatives to grow or improve ACH product suites

• Developed leadership skills, knowing when to step back empowering others and when to take charge
• Demonstrated ability to quickly and systematically diagnose and quantify risks and opportunities for business performance improvement
• Proven ability to lead large complex projects and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams. Proven verbal and written communications skills are a requirement for this
• Ability to provide organizational direction based on clear thinking and sound judgment to assure appropriate business outcomes of large or complex projects
• Knowledgeable of MasterCard products & services or the payments/card industry
• Requires management and motivational skills to provide functional and directional guidance to direct and indirect staff
• Requires the ability to foster open communications across all organizational levels
• Prior experience working in high performing business cultures (e.g., management consulting, corporate strategy, etc.)
• BS/BA degree; knowledgeable in the product technology space-MBA or equivalent is a plus.
• Some travel required
