Where the Chemistry Happens… We have a great opportunity for a Vendor Specialist, Network Services, to join our team and be responsible for management of global suppliers that provide telecommunications networking services to the BASF workforce globally. Vendor Specialist, Network Services (1701224) – Florham Park, NJ OR Virtual You will provide support for the Regional Services and Business Relationship Management and ensure proper service delivery in contracted scope and quality of work that meets the expectations of all BASF business units within the regions. You will consistently monitor and engage with suppliers. You will initiate and follow up on escalations with suppliers’ management, ensure invoice quality, monitor Service Level performance and manage Continuous Improvement efforts.   • Validate and approve monthly invoices for payment processing.
  • Review invoices for errors to ensure proper billing and credits for the North American (NA) region (and other regions as required).
  • Resolve any billing issues with the supplier.
  • Work with Technical Vendor Management and OVM teams to validate monthly, quarterly or annual SLA and KPI performance for all services delivered to the NA region (and other regions as required).
  • Review monthly reports and confirm passage or failure of SLAs or KPIs.
  • Meet with suppliers and resolve disputes as needed.
  • Regularly attend NA regional service review meetings and support any service quality initiatives.
  • Assist with budgetary planning and tracking activities.
  • Provide trend reports, attend budget planning meetings as needed.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting efforts as required for Continuous Improvement efforts or any project-related tasks.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred. Must have 5+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry managing vendors.
  • Must have 3+ years of experience with telecommunications invoicing.
  • Must have 2+ years of experience working in a globally diverse environment. (Applicant should embrace diversity.)
  • Moderate to advanced PC skills. Moderate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Access a plus.
  • Experience with telecommunications carriers’ on-line portals (such as Genesis, Service Now) a plus. Experience with Computer Associates Service Desk Manager (gAHD) tool a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of telecommunications technologies used to deliver networking services such as MPLS, (W)LAN and Unified Communications (IP telephony, video and audio conferencing), Small Office and Home Office solutions.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
