As a member of the Transaction Services practice, you will help clients navigate through complicated transactions and events, from evaluation through integration, in a multifaceted business environment. PwC helps clients negotiate with confidence. Some of the world's most prestigious companies rely on our buy-and-sell side due diligence capabilities and turn to us for advice on financial reporting, valuation and tax issues. We also provide advice and project management for capital raising events such as initial public offerings, secondary listings and private placements. For companies in distressed situations, we advise on crisis avoidance, financial and operational restructuring and bankruptcy.Clients rely on PwC to help them make informed and empowered decisions to invest, divest, raise capital or reorganize. Situated in the Strategic Value Consulting practice, The Modeling Center of Excellence provides premium quality financial model building and reviews services to clients in both the deal and non-deal spaces.The team specializes in the application of best practice modeling methods and processes, and works closely with senior client personnel to assist with analyzing major corporate decisions using carefully developed and reviewed financial models.Position/Program Requirements
Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 5 5+ years of experience in a professional financial modeling services team within a professional services firm, management consulting firm and/or corporate finance firm providing financial modeling services to large clients.
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree
Degree Preferred: MBA
Certification(s) Preferred: CFA preferred but not required.
Demonstrates extensive knowledge of, and/or proven record of success in large enterprise finance, accounting and database systems and whole business financial modeling using Microsoft Excel, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including in the following areas:
-Understanding of Accounting, Corporate Finance, Valuations, Economics, Tax and Business Reporting processes;
-Managing projects utilizing VBA programming for Microsoft Excel (or other coding language); and,
-Demonstrates extensive commercial acumen and experience across a range of industries.
Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or proven record of success in managing projects applying financial modeling, business analysis, and report writing to major corporate decision-making processes, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, including the following areas;
-Managing teams in developing an understanding of each clientâ€™s operations, reporting and decision making processes and translating these into flexible, error free financial models;
-Developing strategy, writing, communicating, facilitating and presenting cogently; to and/or for all levels of internal and external audiences;and preparing concise, well-written documents using appropriate business and technical language;
-Reviewing financial models by assessing the application of standards and identifying potential errors;
-Leading meetings and working directly with clients to understand modeling approach and methodologies employed;
-Demonstrating critical thinking skills to understand the key business issues relevant to each client;
-Communicating and explaining modeling results, issues and progress to managers/directors and/or partners;
-Managing workloads of team members including associates, and client personnel, adjusting and redistributing tasks accordingly;
-Delegating tasks, prioritizing and managing assignments of self and others;
-Elevating issues to project leadership;
-Playing an active role in discussions and meetings, providing substantive input delivered at the appropriate time;
-Addressing questions on technical matters from team members and clients; and,
-Managing project planning, administration and budgeting.
