  U.S. Bank is seeking a Deputy General Counsel--Regulatory.
 
-This position will report to the General Counsel and will supervise a team of attorneys providing legal support on a wide range of domestic and foreign regulations and for the Bank's legal regulatory change management function, including in the areas of consumer, bank holding company and prudential regulations, affiliate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, BSA/AML, political law, securities and investments.
-This position will manage a team of regulatory attorneys responsible for the daily monitoring of regulatory changes; drafting regulatory change memoranda and advising business lines and their in-house counsel on bank regulatory matters.
-In addition, this attorney will work with Government Relations and Regulatory Services on developing regulatory policy and advocacy for U.S. Bank and participate in trade associations ; interact with bank regulatory staff; assist with regulatory approvals from and notices to the banking regulators in connection with new activities, products or services, mergers and acquisitions, corporate organization and governance changes; provide legal interpretation regarding bank regulations for members of the Law Division, the Corporate Compliance, Risk and Audit teams, and senior management; and serve as legal support for various major corporate projects.
-This position oversees the legal functions for Privacy and Data Protection and Technology and Operations.

 
Qualifications
  -Candidates should have a minimum of 15 years' experience working in the financial services industry with a primary bank regulatory focus/expertise.
-Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, strong academic credentials, and must be admitted to at least one state bar.
-Candidates must also have excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills, a strong commitment to client service and the ability to work in a team environment.
