Treasury Management Sales Consultant 2

Job Description

The Northeast Treasury Management Sales team supporting the Middle Market segment is recruiting for a Treasury Management Sales Consultant 2 position role in the West Chester and eastern New Your State market. The individual will be responsible for growing the Treasury business by understanding our client’s needs, providing appropriate consultative solutioning, pro-active servicing and maintaining a positive working relationship with our clients & prospects as well as internal stakeholders. The role is responsible for meeting annual sales goals and sales activity targets by developing and executing upon a business plan and strategy for key customer accounts, developing and executing regular calling programs, and analyzing customer needs. The role will partner with assigned Middle Market Relationship Managers in a consultative solutioning role to cross-sell TM solutions across their client base.

The individual must be willing to work in a fast paced environment, be very well organized, and be a team player working well with others. The role requires the development of product knowledge, solution sales methodology, pricing strategies, technical tools and sales process to be effective. The role works under the immediate direction of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) along with other peer TMSCs in the footprint.

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: sales, business development, or treasury management
  • 3+ years of business-to-business sales experience or treasury management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of treasury management product and services
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to be successful in a cross-sell and multi-level sales environment
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
  • Ability to deliver dynamic presentations to business clients
  • Ability to actively participate on client calls and make presentations
  • An active Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation
  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years sales, business development or treasury management experience
