  Develops training philosophy, policies and programs and recommends new programs.  Manages the internal design of programs and support materials, ensuring that training programs address business objectives and employee needs.  Assesses and advises management on effectiveness of programs and practices.  Participates in project task forces to identify training needs and ensure the effective implementation, communication and maintenance of programs to address identified needs.  Analyzes training needs and requirements and investigates available training options to determine the most cost-effective alternatives.  Analyzes, recommends, negotiates and maintains training vendor contracts and  ensures relationships are managed in a cost-effective manner and evaluates the quality of all services and costs on an on-going basis.  Oversees the training administrative process and identifies opportunities for automation to improve efficiencies.

     Basic Qualifications
- Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Eight or more years of training experience
- Five or more years of experience managing a group of trainers and/or instructional designers - FINRA Licenses (Series 7, 63 & 65 or 66 & 24)
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Considerable knowledge of the design, delivery, administration and evaluation of training and development programs
- In-depth knowledge of instructional design principles
- Extensive knowledge of the business units
- Excellent consultative, project management, analytical, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
- Strong managerial skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- CFP, CLU, ChFC, CFA designation, preferred
- Insurance licenses, preferred
- Experience with MoneyGuidePro, eMoney or NaviPlan, preferred
