Territory Sales Manager 12 month CONTRACT DEKALBSaskatchewan

Monsanto is seeking a highly motivated sales professional to support Monsanto as a Territory Sales Manager for DEKALB (Canola, Corn & Soybeans) located in the Saskatchewan covering the Saskatoon South territory. This is a CONTRACT position slated for a 12 month duration.

You'll achieve success as a Territory Sales Manager by meeting business goals and working closely with our retailers, farmers and seed dealers to achieve long-term growth within the district. As part of the Sales Team, the Sales Agronomy Associate will:
  • Work with designated DEKALB Territory Account Managers across the Area to help achieve business sales targets
  • Assist in demand creation for seed and trait products through local tactics and activities, including customer incentive events
  • Assist in management of DEKALB Market Development Trials for Canola, Corn & Soybeans – includes planning, seeding, data collection and analysis and harvest.
  • Coordinate, attend and participate in trade shows, meetings and customer demand creation events / tours as required
  • Lead special DEKALB projects and / or assignments as determined by DEKALB Area Sales Manager and Agronomy Manager
  • Meet organizational safety requirements
This position is based in Saskatoon and extensive travel throughout Central Saskachewan is required.

Core Business / Functional Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Business or Marketing, or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Proven sales and relationship building skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of seed, trait and crop protection business
  • Intermediate+ agronomic knowledge of seed and trait business preferred.
  • Understanding of business principles and business planning.
  • Creative and can adapt to change.
  • Excellent PC skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team skills.
  • Strong communication and planning skill
