Sr. Member of Tech Staff - Big Data

The Sr. Member of Technical Staff develops solutions to complex business and technical problems or issues of complex scope using advanced engineering and scientific principles.Key Roles and Responsibilities:·         Applies engineering principles and practice in broad areas of complex technical project work that requires in-depth analysis using advanced techniques, knowledge, and expertise.·         Provides technical expertise within project teams.·         Seasoned technical professional. Contributes through proven technical expertise. Has significant dept/functional impact.o   KNOWLEDGE - SME within own discipline/specialty area; basic knowledge of other disciplines/specialty areas. Deep technical knowledge. Applies in-depth knowledge of discipline/specialty area standards/processes. Integrates industry experience and deep professional/technical knowledge. Technical leader and recognized expert on select ATT technologies/systems/procedures.o   ANALYSIS/PROBLEM SOLVING - Solves unique problems through evaluative judgment/precedent. Independently applies sophisticated analysis in evaluating issues. Develops new concepts/methods/techniques for cross-functional initiatives. Recognizes/pursues alternative methods.o   INDEPENDENCE - Guided by department goals/objectives. Exercises latitude in determining objectives/approaches to projects. Leads multiple small to medium sized projects and technical breadth.o   CONTRIBUTION TO ATT TECHNOLOGY - Key contributor on complex projects/initiatives. Impacts current and future business opportunities through application of specialized technical/industry knowledge. Develops methods/techniques based on strategic project objectives.o   COMMUNICATION - Mentors and provides technical guidance and explains advanced concepts to others in work area. Coordinates across multiple departments. Promotes active listening and open communication. Provides leadership/guidance to others.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher degree such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or Mathematics from an accredited university. 
  • PhD in an approved field with no minimum years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
