Senior Process Engineer- Global Die Planner - MFE0004868

Roles and responsibilities: 
  • Develop BIW tool build,checking fixture, and miscellaneous activity forecast charts based on programtiming and content
  • Develop Global dieworkload forecasts and create “what-if” scenarios
  • Interface with key BIW anddie program personnel and respond to program update requests
  • Review and analyze keyreports for completeness and data quality
  • Maintain programmilestone and workload content in the Tool Management and Control System (TMaCS)
  • Utilize Tableau togenerate visuals based on data in TMaCS
  • Participate in GlobalPlanning meetings for die workload sharing
  • Lead regular Global Die Workload Forecasting Meetings with GMB and GMK
  • Maintain templates use to populate Body Integrated Timingschedules
  • Maintainmaster Excel file for  Flint Tool &Die Operations to track BIW tooling timing and create future workload Powerpointand Tableau charts
  • Work withBIW Engineering Group Managers to ensure enough work is scheduled into FlintTDO to fill capacity
  • Work withFlint TDO personnel to maintain departmental capacity levels and answerforecasting questions
  • Developweekly Powerpoint report for ME Body Leadership Pre-SMT meeting review of FTDOworkload and general distribution
  • Createnew programs in TMaCS and load with proper dieline templates and initial timingforecasts
  • Monitor ME Body Planning reports and GSTS fortiming changes and revise plans as necessary
  • Generate Tableau Body Integrated Timing
  • Milestones from Measurement System, SQ&D,BIW and MP templates
  • Maintainall timing templates and adapt
  • to anyGVDP version changes
  • Createand manage Level 1,2 and 3 body shop timing schedules for BIW managers and engineers
  • Leadmonthly Global Die Workload Forecast Meetings with GMB and GMK, reviewing eachregions workloads and evaluating “what-if” work sharing opportunities
  • QuarterlyGlobal Die Workload Forecast report out at the Global Die-Press-BIW CouncilMeetings
  • Participate in useracceptance testing of TMaCS software enhancements

Required Education, Skills and Abilities:

  • Four year college degree (project planning background preferred) or equivalent experience
  • Project planning 3+ years of experience
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with Flint TDO personnel, BIW and Die managers and engineers
  • High level of analytical abilities to solve complex problems
  • Facilitator / leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft software, including Excel, Powerpoint and SharePoint
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Flexibility:  Extensive hours often required based on stage of Program
