Cox Automotive is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst.  The Senior Financial Analyst is a financial professional who will assist in preparation of financial reports including related financial analysis.  This role will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis support for the Director of Sales Finance and FP&A Manager of Consolidated Reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of Cox Auto Retail Solutions Sales, Marketing, and consolidated monthly reporting packages which includes analysis of the previous month performance against Budget and Forecast.  The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key player in the preparation, analysis and explanation of the monthly close, annual budget, quarterly forecasts and multi-year strategic planning.  Also, there will be various financial & statistical routine and/or ad hoc internal reports as needed.  Initial Industry knowledge is not required, but growth in business understanding will be expected. 

Responsibilities Include:
  • Prepare and consolidate financial statements as required by Cox Auto including written variance explanations and supporting data as needed. Strong understanding of the key business drivers is critical.
  • Be a key player in the preparation and consolidation of monthly close, budget, forecast and long range strategic planning by collecting actual data including, but not limited to sales activity, usage statistics by customers, General Ledger activity and any other data needed to help analyze, understand and project future results.
  • Prepare and distribute internal monthly metrics, including but not limited to basic division/product financial statements, revenue and team member analysis, sales performance metrics, transaction performance per product and other analysis.
  • Own the headcount reporting, including but not limited to various compensation areas, team member count/contractor, near and long term hiring status. 
  • Preparation of daily revenue summary and weekly dashboards by pulling actual data from multiple reporting sources comparing to budget/forecast in order to project and analyze monthly results


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 5-7 years of financial statement reporting and analysis experience preferred
  • Ability to operate with honesty, integrity and self-confidence
  • Ability to exercise due diligence, identify conflicts of interest and adhere to the rules of professional conduct
  • Ability to work in various teams across functional department in Retail Solutions & Cox Automotive
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using functions, pivots array, etc. in Excel (Intermediate/Advance Excel) and Salesforce
  • Ability to manage priorities, deadlines and multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Advanced knowledge of financial and accounting systems and Microsoft Office.  SAP, Oracle, Hyperion experience helpful
  • Ability to work with large data bases utilizing Tableau, MS ACCESS and/or other data tools
  • Due to the nature of the work and the tight schedule some overtime may be required
