Senior Director, Talent Acquisition - Executive Search

The Senior Director Talent Acquisition (Executive Search) will be responsible for the oversight of recruitment for all executive level positions (director and above) across the entire Cox family of businesses and all recruiting activities for the Cox Enterprises corporate entity. This role drives a best-in-class function by collaborating with executive leadership to develop progressive TA strategies aligning high caliber talent to business growth and strategy while collaborating with HR boundary partners to drive value and quality in the full employee life cycle. As a leader and mentor within Cox Talent Acquisition (CTA), the Senior Director Talent Acquisition is also responsible for the professional development and successful operation of individual team members. This position reports to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition and involves a high level of visibility and interaction with senior leadership (VP+) and a variety of other departments and business functions. 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
BUSINESS & FINANCIAL ALIGNMENT• Align long-term talent strategy with business strategy by partnering with executive leaders to develop a future-focused TA vision tied to the strategic goals of the divisional groups• Collaborate across all HR partners to design future-focused talent management practices (e.g., new hire requirements, compensation) and balanced plans to drive quality and achieve compliance requirements• Collaborate with Diversity & Inclusion to design effective strategies aligned with both divisional and enterprise-level diversity & inclusion objectives and goals• Translate key business drivers (e.g., new ventures, adjustments to existing plans) to CTA vision and scope to ensure continuous alignment between business needs and TA strategies• Develop and administrate CTA operating budget to ensure execution within annual and long-range plans• Create value proposition for aligned recruiting marketing business model within the TA service teams
EXECUTIVE CLIENT PARTNER• Serve as a trusted business partner to executive leaders by developing talent acquisition strategies and solutions to achieve short-term talent needs and long-term business growth• Develop and employ effective communication and feedback mechanisms/routines designed to fortify client partnerships and maximize information exchange• Partner with stakeholders both internal (e.g., CTA team, executive leaders, HR, Talent Management) and external (TA network, thought leaders) to ensure CTA vision and strategies stay fresh and relevant• Align responsiveness model between HRBPs, TA, and compensation
TALENT ACQUISITION STRATEGIST• Develop and manage consistency in search execution with an innovative, differentiated search process and robust passive sourcing practices• Partner with stakeholders both internal (e.g., CTA team, HR business partners) and external (executive search firms/agencies) to deliver a “differentiated” candidate experience throughout the entire executive level recruiting process• Partner with the TA COE Leader to build a world-class marketing infrastructure within TA that aligns best-in-class product marketing, events, programs, SEO, and social media strategies to drastically elevate the volume and quality of pinpointed talent pools for our most complex hiring requirements• Drive short-term talent solutions by reviewing TA operations/outlook and proactively consulting on industry, market, and organization-level factors impacting overall TA performance• Optimize TA service offerings focused on attracting top-tier talent (e.g., talent planning, brand management) with TA operational goals for efficiencies, enterprise alignment, and allocation estimates• Leverage the product brand values of all relevant Cox brand portfolios to drive engagement with candidates for other divisional job opportunities in other business areas; cross-leverage product intrigue to create demand for employment opportunities with external candidate audiences
TEAM LEADERSHIP• Serve as a member of the CTA leadership team by role modeling the vision of the team, the values of the company, and the focus on CTA’s best-in-class status• Build a high-performing team and develop internal talent into future search leaders capable of selling and executing senior-level searches and leadership consulting engagements• Oversee the on-going development of CTA’s own talent plans and the overall execution performance metrics to maximize the team’s effectiveness for service delivery and adaptability to changing business needs• Responsible for the ongoing organizational development of the CTA executive search team, including the ability to transform and adapt to the Company’s shifting business model and strategies.• Drive operational improvements and team engagement through transparency, ownership, accountability, and collaboration while ensuring team managers are strategically aligned• Serve as an advocate and ambassador for CTA in industry and professional organizations and networks• Promote a “Winning/Achieving is Fun” attitude
Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in HR with at least 10+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition• 10+ years managing people; providing coaching and development within a like environment• Experience leading recruiting enterprise-wide in an organization with over 5,000 employees• Executive relationship management expertise --- capability to influence at all levels of the organization• Experience managing non-exempt and exempt recruiting in a high-volume, field environment• Experience with process improvement tools, SLAs, and recruiting metrics• Knowledge in all components of full lifecycle recruiting including sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management and due diligence• Knowledge and extensive past use of a server-based applicant tracking system (eRecruit, Taleo, BrassRing, PeopleClick, etc.)• Excellent project management skills• Strong negotiation skills for interacting with management, candidates and vendors• Strong analytical skills PREFERRED • Bachelor's degree in related field strongly desired (Human Resources, Business, or related field)• Advanced degree in related field preferred• Professional HR/recruiting certification is desired
