Senior Director, Brand Content Marketing

Position Summary:

The Brand Content lead manages content strategy, creation, and distribution for national campaigns advancing TIAA's brand across all lines of business. He or she is a key contributor to broader campaign strategy and oversees content extensions and complements of national advertising, including creation and syndication of new content that educates, informs, and inspires targeted client groups. The lead partners closely with the Brand and Advertising team, agency partners, and B2B and B2C Content groups to align content plans and distribution. He or she must be highly creative and focused externally on the changing content and media landscapes as well as customer needs and behaviors. A proven track record in social media strategy, content creation, distribution, and measurement are essential.

The Sr. Director is one of four leaders on the Content team, reporting to the VP, Content Marketing. He or she will manage one or more direct reports and agency resources, and influence the work of professionals throughout the department. Strong, inclusive management skills are required. Experienced content leaders from outside the financial services industry are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*Leads content marketing for major cross-enterprise campaigns.

*Drives campaign strategy and oversees content extensions and complements

of national advertising campaigns, including creation and distribution of new

content that educates, informs, and inspires targeted client groups.

*Ensures that the content being developed is on-strategy, engaging, and will

drive measurable results

*Continually reviews and makes strategic decisions based on the changing

content and media landscapes as well as customer needs and behaviors

*Demonstrates a test & learn mindset to lead to better outcomes. Confident in

exploring emerging channels, media, content partnerships, and influencers to

drive market-leading content strategy.

Required Skills:

*BA/BS minimum; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

*Minimum 10+ years experience.

*Strong creative and analytical skillset required to ensure all content is

appropriately meeting customer/business needs, consistent in terms of style,

quality and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all

channels of content including online, social media, mobile, and video.

*Deep understanding of relevant audiences and the ability to think like a

customer, intuitively understanding audience interests and content

consumption behaviors.

*Role requires a high degree of interpersonal skills, influencing a team

spanning Content and other marketing functions; supporting line-of-business

leaders; informing and influencing CMOs and other senior leaders.
