The position of Sales’ Lead I & I is to effectively drive the I&I business development in both Strategic and Operational aspects and to achieve or exceed BASF aggressive goals for this market. The individual has significant responsibility for providing strong leadership of revenue and profit objectives, and enhancing the I & I business within the Region. Activities may require account management of customers with operations outside of North America. The role includes steering of all sales’ channels (including distribution), in order to achieve a coordinated approach to the industry in the region.

  • Accountable for managing the US territory, as well as steering Distribution Management in order to achieve or exceed an agreed business plan. Expected to accomplish through a collaborative selling approach.
  • Demonstrate managerial courage by leading cross functional teams to develop strategic approaches for regional accounts that will show return above market growth.
  • Negotiate significant customer contracts as appropriate.
  • Formulate territory business development strategy.

Provide effective coordination of Marketing, Technical, Supply Chain and Product Management resources in order to achieve sales targets.

Ingredients for success. What we look for in you…..
  • BA/BS degree required, preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field (Science & Technology) is required along with 6+ years sales/marketing or business management experience with diverse customer relationships. Relevant industry experience and In-depth knowledge of I&I, Home Care markets highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross functional teams to achieve sales growth
  • Ability and willingness to travel up 30%-50% primarily domestic, depending on your location.
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with key decision makers at all levels of management both internal and external. Strong customer orientation a must.
  • Proven ability to identify business opportunities and develop appropriate strategies and relationships that deliver sales results within a diverse and challenging business climate.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic account plans.
  • Ability to drive results through persistence and collaboration with Distribution, Marketing and Technical Teams
