Real Estate Relationship Manager 4

Job Description

Wells Fargo Commercial Real Estate (CRE), an industry leader, provides a comprehensive platform of financing and banking solutions to regional and national owners, operators and developers, public and private REITs, and real estate investment management and private equity firms.

Duties include:

Representing the bank in establishing, developing and maintaining client relationships with key sources of loan demand;

Actively participating in structuring loans and preparing recommendations with top management officer of the bank for the most critical/complex clients;

Originating, evaluating, and underwriting mortgage loans, long-term mortgage financing and short-term construction loans (loan structures may include equity features);

Providing risk assessment;

Generating targeted returns from investments;

Structuring credit terms;

Coordinating the due diligence effort;

Knowledge and expertise are equal to managers.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relationship management experience, commercial real estate experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications

  • Commercial real estate underwriting experience
  • Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to work independently with sound judgment in the application of analytical conclusions to credit approval, structure, and management recommendations
  • Ability to generate revenue and actively participate in the successful completion of complex transactions
