Payroll Analyst

The Payroll Analyst will be the primary person to analyze tax and payroll situations, troubleshoot issues with SAP payroll and be the key liaison with business partners on issues, upgrades and initiatives. They will apply payroll and tax expertise for annual and quarterly reporting requirements and will record payroll adjustments. Normal duties may include although are not limited to:
  • Ensure compliance with SOX, Monsanto and government regulations for federal, state and local payroll taxes for US, Puerto Rico and Canada
  • Assists in payroll issue resolution with the Payroll team, IT Support, and other business partners
  • Key partner in executive and equity compensation recording and reporting
  • Provide analysis and testing support for system upgrade, tax and compliance updates
  • Prepare and analyze data for monthly, quarterly and annual tax and worker’s compensation reporting
  • Analyze payroll processes for improvement opportunities
  • Lead cross-functional teams on the fiscal and year-end processes; key liaison with third party for issuance of W2s & T4s
  • Provide support and back up team members as needed for US, Puerto Rico and Canada payroll processes
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting
  • Special projects as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Payroll or Finance field
  • Experience with SAP Payroll strongly preferred
  • Payroll tax knowledge in US preferred. Knowledge in Canada and Puerto Rico a plus
