Shoreview Insurance Centralized Operations Group (ICOG)

The direct bill team is responsible for posting commissions paid to the correct client, policy, term and territory in a timely and accurate basis.

This Operations Accounting Clerk 2 position will support the Direct Bill staff and the Insurance Brokergin & Consulting (IBC) offices.

Responsibilities and duties Include:

  • Responsible for the posting of commissions and related activities for assigned territories, tracking activity on Excel worksheets, balancing accounts to the General Ledger and completing assigned month end reconciliations
  • Supporting best practices, volume productivity/efficiencies and service level agreements, offering improvements to current practices
  • Special projects as requested

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: accounting, bookkeeping, or operational accounting

  • Insurance experience
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Nexsure and BenefitPoint agency management systems

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using Kofax
