North America Customer Care Business Information & Reporting Lead

The North America Customer Care Business Information and Reporting Lead (BI&R) is responsible for leading the team that defines and executes the NA Commercial reporting strategy and ensures a data strategy is in place in partnership with the NA Commercial organization, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT organizations and the Global COEs. The BI&R Lead also ensures that capabilities exist to support a variety of visualization experiences and that BI&R Team is highlighting key insights and engaging with other functions to deliver the NA Business objectives.

Job Requirements
Lead a cross brand, crop, and business team of 10 direct employees and 5 contractors which creates capabilities and business information necessary to measure business progress and success
Develop and execute a strategy for reporting capability needs including push vs pull reporting, satisfying ad-hoc requests, and anticipating future reporting requirements associated with business initiatives and/or established IT projects; evaluation of existing reports considering new capabilities within tools such as SalesForce and in information available through the COEs
Ownership of Operational metrics and transactional reporting that each function utilizes to track and deliver results against targets
Ownership for the creation of the Long-Range Plan for data and reporting needs
Ensure support of the NA Commercial business through creation and support of dashboards and reports which includes collaboration with IT through proper tool identification, creation and on-going support
Influence cross-functional leadership to agree upon and prioritize key information needs, standardization of terms, and predictable approaches to data based decision making
Provide leadership around predictable annual initiatives such as organizational structure changes, budget volume collection and field sales footprint changes, etc
Coordinate team resources to best support & prioritize reporting projects and requests for information needs from Field Sales, Supply Chain and general management
Develop team members to support a broadening reporting scope and refine delivery methods
Influence leadership thinking by leveraging business insights gained through business reporting
Develop methods to identify data integrity/quality issues and work cross-functionally to improve data quality
Integrate new data from non-IT data warehouses into key reporting capabilities
Work in collaboration with the NACC Analytics Lead and NACC Metrics Lead to ensure necessary data is available and the appropriate dashboards are created and/or updated
Team manages geo-spatial reporting needs via appropriate delivery methods

Core Business/Functional Skills
Preferred familiarity with US Seeds & Traits businesses, Crop Protection, and Seed Applied Solutions (SAS)
Basic understanding of data models and database structure, SalesForce, and various data visualization tools such as Qlikview and Spotfire
Effective oral and written communication skills
Customer focused with the ability to influence customer’s stated needs
Demonstrated decision making skills with ability to prioritize across various objectives
Experience with influencing others towards common approaches and navigating a matrix environment
Strong team orientation and ability to work effectively across functions and with remote employees
Experience confronting difficult situations and problems promptly without avoidance
Experience effectively championing new ideas and technologies to meet business challenges
High level of results orientation and agility
Understanding of Business Objects, Oracle, MS Access and other systems is a plus
Education, Training and/or Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required
5+ years of related business experience ( Data/or reporting related roles, finance,engineering, statistics, IT with a focus on the data component/reporting withUSE of the data to support decisions)

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Prior people management experience required
Ability to travel internationally and domestically up to 10%Advertisement
