North America Customer Analytics Manager

This position manages and executes the data and analysis function that supports Monsanto’s commitment to improving our customer experience in North America. This role is expected to develop novel insights that can lead to new strategies and innovation for the seeds, traits and crop protection businesses and will be responsible for marketing data governance to ensure usability and integrity. This self directed position will serve as liaison to global analytics and data teams to optimize the functionality of global tools for the NA business unit.
This position will provide strategic analyses of customer data from both internal and external sources using structured and unstructured data, and provide recommendations to address key business opportunities. The role works independently to structure custom approaches to investigate the data and develop repeatable paths to increase productivity. It will support both product categories and branded businesses by framing the customer segment needs, developing insights and recommending actions to better meet customer expectations. Job responsibilities include the ability to access data, assess its quality, perform quantitative analysis and produce output that is easily consumed by the business managers. The person will have a solid knowledge base in applied statistics, data interrogation and modeling data for development of insights to support the business objectives. Candidate must be extremely self motivated and possess excellent people interaction and communication skills.
• Customer Analytics: Develop customer profiles, prospects, channels, forecast and customer segmentation. Evolve a customer lifecycle model and promote the understanding of this model in the organization. Use existing models and suggest improvements based on new data sources.• CRM Analytics: Will provide in-depth analysis of customer behavior including reasons for churn and descriptive profiling. Will be expected to generate reports from existing data and develop new insights from additional research as needed.
• Will lead an outside analytics resource (contractor) and interact with external suppliers and with internal resources and Information Technology teams. Will prepare, distribute and receive customer data files from suppliers following security guidelines.

• Bachelors degree, Graduate degree preferred in Marketing, Marketing Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Social Sciences
• 8-10 years experience in marketing, business analysis, customer analysis, or CRM
• Will be highly skilled at using Spotfire, SPSS or other statistical software, and Microsoft Office
• Strong ability to translate data and analytics into stories, insight, and actionable recommendations
• Customer analytics experience supporting a commercial business
• Total understanding of predictive modeling and analytics
• Customer life time value and loyalty programs experience
• Agile and able to work in organization with evolving capabilities
