We have a great opportunity for a Master Tinter to be responsible for providing high-level tinting expertise and guidance to the ACP activities, primarily for gaining efficiency and knowledge transfer for color matching.

Formula for Success: You Will…

You will be responsible for color matching colors using the best available tools and be a resident expert on pigments, pastes, and the use of the Toolbox to match colors on time and on quality. You will keep formula costs in line, and interpret color data to select the best adjustment to match the color in a short timeframe. Additionally, you will coach and help other chemists and technicians in the ACP group in their color matching efforts.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science major with 5 years of experience in coatings color matching required

· Paint formulation experience required

  • Color tinting experience and excellent knowledge of color matching methodology required
  • Previous experience coaching and developing others preferred

· Project management experience required

· Achieve Pass Score on Munsell Hue color test, given during interview

· Solid knowledge in Formulation guidelines, ColorCARE data interpretation, Color Matchbox and the Pigment and Paste Toolbox, Microscopy analysis of effect pigments and pigmentation analysis

· . Experience analyzing and interpreting complicated data, and creating concise reports and adjustments for the customer (internal and external)

· Understand the impact of application equipment and the variations that could impact in the coating

· Fluent in English and Spanish, preferred
