JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Job Function

Responsible for the maintenance of master data in SAP that is utilized in multiple business transactions across OTC, PTP, RTR and SCM process areas. Also responsible for Training, Project coordination, system & tool enhancements and metrics reporting.

Core Job Responsibilities

Independently perform Create/Read/Update/Delete responsibilities for master data.  Perform mandatory validations such as OCR Denied Party Screening, address verification, HIN and DEA verification.  In addition, some divisions have federal licensing guidelines which must be adhered to. Act as primary SME for any master data related questions. Ensure urgent requests are processed immediately and SLAs are met. 

Create / update new policies, procedures, and data standards and upload these on sharepoint. Ensure process compliance with applicable corporate policies. Introduce or update compliance documents as necessary with deployments and process changes.

Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with operational counterparts across appropriate stakeholders, including but not limited to ERP teams and legacy business process owners.  Serve as a primary liaison between business and IT for master data issues.

Prepare, analyze and cascade SLA tracking document and data quality reports to divisions. Follow up with division users to remediate data issues to maintain defined levels of quality.  Prepare and communicate data quality dashboards and KPIs to senior management.

Develop new training modules for new deployments and update existing training modules with enhancements and system changes. Conduct training of new and existing users.  Identify best practices and share with division SMEs.

Review current processes and identify opportunities for process improvements. Determine and evaluate best practices and recommend potential solutions. Develop project plan and implement accordingly.

Identify, prioritize and cascade issues to divisions and IT operation support. Identify and evaluate requirements. 

Position Accountability / Scope

Individual contributor and team member role.  Does not participate in staffing decisions.  Reports to Master Data Manager.

Ensure data maintenance activities are completed as per SOP guidelines and SLAs are met.

Primary impact is Customer relationships (both internal and external) Bad data will lead to transaction failures and will result in financial impact and loss of productivity.

In addition, ineffective communication or training could have a negative effect on customer. Effectively utilize Abbott systems to maintain the integrity of master data. 

Minimum Education

High school graduation required.

B.A./B.S. degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred

Minimum Experience / Training Required

0-3 years’ experience with degree or 8+ years’ experience without degree required.  SAP experience and advanced Excel skills are strongly preferred.  Demonstrated ability to handle increasing and broader areas of responsibility.  Training experience also preferred.
