The Managing Systems Architect acts in a strategic role, providing leadership direction, in the development of the enterprise architecture, infrastructure designs, and related business architectures. While managing a team of senior architects, designs standardized solutions to meet the requirements of the line of business and infrastructure domains while still applying enterprise standards. Responsible for reviewing and approving high architectural impact designs and exceptions to the Enterprise Architecture, communicating the Enterprise Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams and directing implementations of the architecture across lines of business and infrastructure domains. Tasked with constant improvement the design process to deliver more consistent solutions with a faster time to market. This function is responsible for delivering the most strategic technology solutions to meet Wells Fargo’s business strategies.
The Managing Systems Architect leads a team of roughly 8-10 professionals, consisting of Senior Architects and working with and aligned to the businesses and IT operations teams as part of Wells Fargo’s global architecture capability. This person would work intimately with this team to set goals, evaluate progress, create strategy, coach and develop the team.
Success in the role would include continuous improvement and maturing the infrastructure and architecture discipline, ensuring a record of availability (Infrastructure) for the business, influencing the Enterprise Architecture Partners regarding Governance and providing strategic technical guidance as the needs of the business evolve. The successful candidate will evaluate current architectural processes within Wells Fargo and recommend and implement change in order to provide greater efficiencies to the overall organization.Required Qualifications
