Supply Chain Data Management is uniquely positioned within the Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain to build, optimize, & control JJSC’s data assets, enabling the business to optimize the value of its data more efficiently and effectively. SCDM is recruiting for a Manager, SCDM Business Architecture & Services that will execute the strategy and operational support for SCDM capabilities related to data harmonization and standardization. He/she will be accountable for ensuring the efficient and effective engagement with JJSC business partners to deliver reliable data in support of analytical and operational needs through Enterprise data management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business and IT teams to develop and drive a multi-generational plan that will further evolve the capabilities of enterprise data management platforms.
  • Co-innovate and shape platform roadmaps to introduce new capabilities in line with business needs.
  • Intake business requirements in support of projects requiring consolidated, standardized and/or harmonized data across systems, regions and/or segments.
  • Evaluate and prioritize enhancements and project demand across the platforms.
  • Develop and implement process measurements and metrics which ensure the efficient and effective operation of platforms and progress toward desired business outcomes.
  • Provide coordination / collaboration with sector platform SMEs to understand data lineage, sourcing and delivery of data to the business.
  • Provide support and expertise for platform enhancements, changes, issues, testing, training and deployments.
  • Lead user forums to ensure bi-directional communication with user base regarding platform roadmaps, and address user needs and issues, as well as ownership of relevant internal controls and SOPs which govern those platforms.
  • Builds relationships with key business and IT stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Drive the cataloging and continuous management of metadata assets in order to effectively facilitate the understanding of data availability and reliability for business needs.
  • Provide expertise for project teams to assess data asset reliability and applicability, and corresponding architecture to meet business needs.
  • Identify sources of data required to support business needs and improve existing data assets within platforms.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve data management capabilities and progress along defined roadmaps.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Data Management/Analytics, Business Administration, IT, Supply Chain) is required.
  • 8 years of experience in data management, data analysis, analytics, data operations or IT is required.
  • Knowledge of master data management principles is required.
  • 3+ years of master data management experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and analytical techniques is preferred.
  • Process excellence, performance management, metrics reporting and/or data collection is preferred.
  • Strong networking and relationship building skills are preferred.
  • Hands-on disciplined project and/or portfolio management skills are preferred.
  • Experience in communications, customer service and/or issue response environment is preferred.
  • Ability to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to senior management effectively is preferred.
  • Ability to support shaping and executing data strategy while effectively collaborating with others under minimal direction/supervision is preferred.
