Altria Client Services’ role is to help Altria Group and its operating companies responsibly meet their business goals by providing the high quality services they require in a financially disciplined way. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Manager Regulatory Research & Insights to join our Regulatory Submissions Planning & Research department in Richmond, VA.

The successful candidate will lead the identification and development of product related regulatory intelligence to inform company strategies, policy positions, regulatory submissions, and other regulatory strategies.

Specific accountabilities include:

*Developing new and improved methods for gathering regulatory intelligence to inform company strategies, policy positions, regulatory submissions, and other regulatory actions.

*Partnering with Regulatory Communications to create and deliver regulatory insights to internal stakeholders, including Altria Group and Operating Company (OpCo) leadership, Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, External Affairs and others.

*Developing information and intelligence to support external engagement strategies, particularly with the public health and scientific communities.

*Implementing new tracking, monitoring and scanning tools to generate regulatory intelligence and information, including global scanning.

*Identifying emerging trends and providing summaries of potential business implications for the OpCos.

*Supporting Government Affairs strategies by developing information and intelligence to shape policy arguments, white papers, briefing materials, etc.

*Analyzing publicly-available and internal information to identify implications to OpCo product submissions strategies and develop related strategic recommendations.

Specific Skills

Qualifications include:

*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a Science, Engineering, Operations, or Business Discipline.

*Advanced degree is preferred.

*10+ years of experience in FDA regulated fields and working knowledge of FDA CTP Regulations and Guidance Documents.

*Prior experience managing FDA product submissions for a regulated company or within a government regulatory agency such as the FDA.

*Strong ability to analyze complex information, distill insights and develop strategic recommendations. Ability to synthesize disparate and complex data/information to identify implications to strategies.

*Strong leadership and relationship management skills with proven ability to meet goals and timelines.

*Strong interpersonal/communication skills to interface with management and individuals at all levels of the organization.

*Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels of the organization.

*Strong presentation skills to clearly and articulately share project progress and developments.
