Manager, Dispatch & Scheduling

Description About the Position: Direct Dispatch Supervisors and/or Scheduling Supervisors in establishing and ensuring the distribution of work in a manner that balances the priorities of the customer, regulators and internal costs. Job Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Maximize resource utilization and interoperability of resources across processes for prioritization and planning of work; help process owners be successful. Initiate new or enhanced business process flows andor technology to increase productivity. Participate in process improvement initiatives, including investigating and implementing best practices, and benchmarking. Partner with Field Service, Operations, Resource, and CAC Managers to set realistic and effective scheduling objectives. Utilize information regarding expected seasonal workflows, regulatory mandates, emergency response times, customer appointment expectations and planned special projects. Manage the interactions between the Operations and Dispatch groups, such as Service, Maintain, Construct and Asset Strategy. Serve as one single of contact and manage the customer relationship to increase customer satisfactions. Define & Standardize processes and drive centralization of Scheduling and Dispatch Operations functions. Provide consistent process execution. Participate in the development and execution of Corporate goals, initiatives, budgets, variance analysis. Direct administrative duties including the generation and maintenance of dispatch and tech schedules, regulatory filings and compliance tracking of mandated work. Utilize available technology and encourage its use by supervisors, dispatchers. Coach supervisors to optimize the company's technical investments. Qualifications Knowledge and Experience Required: BS or BA degree required with minimum of 5 years experience in electric or gas operations or equivalent knowledge/experience. Must have strong leadership, organizational and planning skills. Must have good working knowledge of Electric, Gas and Metering Services procedures. Must have strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, and be able to delegate and negotiate. Must be a strategic thinker. Must be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with the ability to handle conflict resolution/difficult issues. Must have excellent communication skills.
