Under the supervision of the Cox Enterprises, Inc. Vice President of Litigation and one or more litigation attorneys, the Paralegal will support the Center of Excellence for Litigation (COE), which serves Cox Enterprises and its subsidiaries Cox Communications, Cox Automotive, and Cox Media Group.
The Paralegal will play a critical role supporting the COE’s processes and projects. Responsibilities include but are not limited to subpoena response, review and transmittal of service of process, assistance with legal holds and evidence collection, insurance tendering, discovery tasks in complex litigation, analyzing and resolving small claims, drafting settlement agreements, managing the audit process to support financial statements, handling e-billing issues and substantive legal invoice review, developing and maintaining dashboards and reports, and any other tasks that arise at any time. The position will also support key initiatives of the COE and the Legal Department, as directed.
The ideal candidate must be capable of handling a substantial amount of work in a large, fast-paced, dynamic and diverse corporate environment. Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Must apply high degree of accuracy and exhibit excellent organizational skills.
