Who we're looking for

The TFS-BTS Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated ITIL Service Design & Transition Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is developing and implementing service management processes, in the ITIL Service Design and Service Transition lifecycle phases, of the Service Management Lifecycle. While a technical foundation is important, this role is tasked more heavily with collaboration across TFS business functions and across other Toyota affiliates, process improvement, and change management. This person will lead a small team of IT professionals, as well as oversee the work and maintain a relationship with three large technical suppliers.

What you'll be doing
  • Manage team of resources focused on implementation and delivery of in-scope Service Management processes
  • Understand, interpret and implement ITIL v3 framework, applying the principles of the framework within the everyday service operations of the organization
  • Guide Service Management team resources in the proper development and operation of Service Design & Service Transition processes
  • Meet with functional groups within Business Technology Solutions (BTS) to provide guidance and educational opportunities to increase successful engagement of processes
  • Oversee the day to day operations of processes such as Release Management, Change Management, and Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM)
  • Manage creation and execution of Service Continuity (i.e., Technology Recovery) framework across all BTS functional groups
  • Develop/Implement improvement roadmaps for in-scope Service Management processes
    • Define improvement objectives
    • Develop multi-year improvement plans that are integrated within the Service Management team
    • Align improvement initiatives with other BTS functional group activities to maximize value of improvements
  • Ensure that IS processes, standards and supporting documentation associated directly or indirectly with ITIL Service Design & Service Transition are created & maintained
  • Leverage knowledge and experience to deliver end-to-end solutions within ServiceNow


Qualifications
What you bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems
  • Demonstrated experience successfully overseeing IT service management, service desk, operations support functions
  • Experience acting as an organizational change agent within an IT function
  • Solid project management experience, large in scope, with multiyear timelines, resulting in effective deployment of resources in a cross-functional environment
  • Experiencing managing direct reports, experience managing technical suppliers
